What personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

The short version

  • We collect what you send us, like your name, email and project details, and basic data about how our site is used.
  • We use it to reply to you, to plan and deliver work, and to keep our site running well.
  • We don't sell your personal information.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing dev@plexodev.com.

1.Who we are

Plexodev ("Plexodev", "we", "us") is a software development and consulting company. We design, build and run web and mobile applications, cloud platforms and data systems, and we advise organizations on technology. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit plexodev.com, contact us or work with us.

The company behind Plexodev is [Legal company name], registered in [State], United States.

2.What we collect

Information you give us: your name, email, phone number, company and role; details about your project or question; files you share with us; and, if you apply to work with us, your CV and work history.

Information collected automatically: when you visit our site, we collect technical data such as your browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you and an approximate location based on your IP address, using cookies and similar tools.

Information from others: occasionally we receive your business contact details from someone who referred you, or from public professional sources such as your company's website or LinkedIn.

3.How we use it

  • To reply to your messages and arrange calls.
  • To prepare proposals, deliver projects, send invoices and support you after launch.
  • To run, secure and improve our website.
  • To send occasional updates, only if you've agreed, with an unsubscribe link in every email.
  • To consider job applications.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

4.Legal bases (visitors in the EEA and UK)

Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on: your consent (for example, for marketing emails and non-essential cookies); the steps needed to enter into or carry out a contract with you; our legitimate interests in running our business and answering inquiries, balanced against your rights; and our legal obligations.

5.Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to make the site work and analytics cookies to understand which pages are useful. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may be affected.

6.Who we share it with

We share personal information only with:

  • service providers who help us run our business (hosting, email, scheduling, analytics, accounting and project tools), under contracts that require them to protect it;
  • professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants;
  • authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our rights and safety;
  • a buyer or successor, if Plexodev is ever part of a merger or acquisition.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7.Data in projects we build for clients

When we build or run software for a client, we may handle personal data about that client's own users or customers. In that case we act on the client's instructions as their service provider (a "processor"), and the client's privacy notice and our agreement with them govern that data, not this policy. If you use one of our clients' products, please contact that client first.

8.How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it:

  • inquiries that don't lead to work: up to 24 months;
  • client and contract records: for the length of the relationship, plus up to 7 years for legal and tax purposes;
  • job applications: up to 12 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

After that, we delete or anonymize it.

9.How we protect it

We use encryption in transit, access controls, multi-factor authentication on our accounts and the principle of least privilege, and we choose vendors with strong security practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information and will tell you promptly if a breach affects you, as the law requires.

10.International transfers

We're based in the United States, and our team and service providers may process information in other countries. When we transfer personal data from the EEA or UK, we use recognized safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

11.Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or limit how we use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct their personal information, to opt out of its sale or sharing (we don't sell or share it), and not to be treated differently for using these rights.

To make a request, email dev@plexodev.com. We may need to confirm your identity, and we'll respond within the time the law allows (usually 30 to 45 days). If you're in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

12.Children

Our website and services are meant for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

13.Other websites

Our site may link to other websites. We're not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.

14.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We'll post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date, and if the changes are significant, we'll let you know more directly.
